Finance in a 4.0 world – how to leverage data and protect value

In a world of disruption and innovation, operating models are being challenged and industries are being turned on their heads. As some of the most exciting STEM businesses in the region you’re at the forefront of technology and are confident with data….

But what about your back office?

Are you managing your finances with the same focus on emerging technologies and leveraging data as you are in your core business?

We’re already seeing ambitious businesses apply the same disruptive mindset to their back office finance operations as they do to their market facing activities. They’re using technology as an enabler for growth and even to protect value for them as founders.

Come along on 30th January to hear Liz Scott from EY talk about the quiet revolution going on within finance, and to find out how your business can benefit.

Liz Scott is the North West Digital and Innovation Leader at EY. She has spent over 16 years working with businesses to support their growth ambitions. In her latest role Liz has responsibility for EY Absolute, a game changing Everything as a Service (Xaas) solution designed to allow fast growth businesses access to the latest finance tools and expertise.

EY are most commonly known as one of the world’s largest professional services firms. However they’re on a disruption journey of their own – actively re-engineering their service delivery models to give clients more of what they need; acquiring complimentary disruptors; and incubating a number of start-ups of their own.

Why is this session beneficial?

Whilst leveraging innovation, emerging technology and data comes naturally to many STEM organisations in their core businesses, we often see the finance function lagging behind. We’re working with many ambitious businesses to help them apply the latest technology and techniques to their finance data - allowing them to gain vital strategic insights and protect value.
