What to expect on the day:

Two and a half years ago Manchester was selected by Innovate UK to be the UK’s Smart City IoT Demonstrator: to show how Internet-connected technology and data can be used to transform the city.

Since then, we’ve been on a journey as we’ve built the CityVerve smart city demonstrator – a project that’s part of IoTUK and that showcases what is possible through the application of innovative new technologies, as well as through forging new relationships between the public and private sector.

Marketplace will bring together all partners involved so we can share our learnings with you. The day revolves around five key themes which we have identified as key elements of any smart city project. Each theme will have a dedicated area where partners showcase their technology so you can immerse yourself in whatever section is most relevant to you. Should you wish to find out more, breakout sessions will take place throughout the day on each theme.
