Part of Manchester Science Park
Location Pencroft Way, M15 6GZ
The Bright Building is MSP’s newest, state-of-the-art building which is itself a ‘living lab’ for tech and innovation - from the install of Tesla’s powerpack battery which will make the building an ‘energy island’ within 12 months, to testing new technologies in BMS system efficiency and smart lighting as part of Innovate UK’s CityVerve project.
Located in the heart of Manchester Science Park within the Oxford Road Corridor - Manchester’s Innovation District, the Bright Building has flexible office space available across all floors, ideal for global tech corporates to co-locate with pioneering start-ups – creating a collaborative environment for innovative ideas to develop, and valuable partnerships to form.
The building’s layout has intentionally been designed to maximise collaboration, with the ground floor given over to a large communal workspace and bookable event space for up to 200 people. There is also a cafe - operated by ethical caterer Friska, a Studio Gym, showers and lockers, secure bike store, kit drying room, and outdoor workspace.
Companies working in Internet of Things technologies can take a coveted place on our Cisco-partnered Mi-IDEA post-accelerator programme, hosted in a dedicated co-working space in the Bright Building. Mi-IDEA provides co-innovation space and supports digital start-ups to scale, generating access to specialist networks and growth support.
Part-funded by the North West Evergreen Fund (backed by the European Regional Development Fund), and Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the Bright Building is located within the Corridor Manchester Enterprise Zone. Businesses moving here may be eligible for a total of £275k in business rates relief for up to five years. Download our Enterprise Zone brochure for more details.
