Salford social enterprise, Unlimited Potential, won the Innovation Award at the Salford Business Awards 2012. The Award was presented at a ceremony, which featured Evan Davis and Gordon Burns from the BBC, held at the new Salford City Stadium.

The Innovation Award recognises success in creating and developing innovative products or processes that have improved the performance of the organisation or led to significant job creation. The judges looked for: a philosophy of continued innovation; commercial impact and long term effectiveness of the innovation; and growth potential.
Chris Dabbs, Chief Executive of Unlimited Potential, said: “This Award builds on Unlimited Potential's success in winning the Innovation Award for 2011 from Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Both awards show that social innovation can be taken as seriously as innovation in science, technology and media.
"Unlimited Potential hopes that this will be a new springboard for it to develop further into the future. We want to use social innovation to make the world a happier and healthier place to live."
